ANGEL is about a 244 year old vampire called Angel (David Boreanaz). But Angel is no ordinary vampire . . . . he has a soul. Angel lives in LA solving crimes to do with demons and anything else evil. Cordy, Wesley and Gunn help Angel save the souls of LA.

Angel was born in Galway, Ireland. Angel soon grew a taste for woman and alcohol. He meet a girl called Darla who promised she could show him things he could only imagine. But this came with a price, he had to be turned into a vampire. Angel and Darla (Juile Benz) travelled around Europe enjoying the view and freedom, and the kill. But Angel killed the wrong girl. He drank from a gypsy who was a favour among her clan. And they came up with the perfect punishment, they restored Angel's soul. Angel moved to North America to get away from his history. While he was in Manhattan, a demon called Whistler told Angel he could become someone. Whistler suggested Angel could help the new Vampire slayer. So Angel went to Sunnydale. Slowly he fell in love with her, and she fell in love with him. After their relationship had had many ups and downs, Angel decided it would be for the best if he left.

Angel went to LA only to get help from a half-demon called Francis Doyle (Glenn Quinn) and from Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter) who he knew from Sunnydale. The three of them started up Angel Investigations. Since Doyle died Wesley (Alexis Denisof) (also from Sunnydale) joined them, after Angel ran into him while he was a rogue demon hunter. Later on Charles Gunn (J. August Richards) joined them, the vampire hunter, to help kill demons and to get paid. Fred (Amy Acker) joins the Investigates after she is saved by them, from a less than ordinary world. . . .
